WHO ARE THESE WALKS FOR?
A: Our walks are perfect for first time visitors who would like to have useful and honest info that will help them get the best of their stay in paradise. Perfect for people who do not want to go on tumultuous tours full of hassles and fillers. Perfect for people who do not know very much about local culture and would like to experience it accompanied by a proud local. Perfect for people who can not (or do not want to) spend a fixed amount of money on a particular tour.

Q: WHY PAY WHAT YOU WANT?
A: Because we believe that everyone deserves the chance to experience a high quality activity, regardless of a price tag.

Because we want to share our culture and city with you.

Because we believe in generosity.

Learn More.

Q: WHAT IS THE RECOMMENDED CONTRIBUTION?
A: You pay what you want, if you want. We want you to be happy and comfortable with your contribution. Some guests have suggested "the amount you would spend to see a movie or buy a travel book at your home town." Comparable activities start at $20-25 USD per person.

At the end, you decide.  Your contribution is completely voluntary.

We will be generous to you, no matter what.

Q: I HAVE BEEN TO VALLARTA BEFORE. IS THIS STILL GOOD FOR ME?
A: Of course. On our walks we explore places and learn things you probably don’t know about. You might see Vallarta in a totally different way.

It is also a great chance to make new friends!

Q:HOW LONG AND STRENOUS ARE THE WALKS?
A: Walks are 2 to 3 hours in length and up to three miles in distance.

There might be a hill or a few stairs involved, and some cobblestone too, but nothing heavy.

There are rest points and bathroom stops along the way. We all mark the pace.

Q: ARE WALKS WHEELCHAIR ACCESIBLE? ARE BABY STROLLERS OK?
A: No, sorry, streets are a little difficult. Baby strollers are ok, although not recommended.  However, our friends at Learn Vallarta (www.puertovallartawalkingtours.com) offer a special Malecon tour for wheelchairs!

Q: WHERE DO WALKS BEGIN AND HOW DO I GET THERE?
A: We meet at different locations around Downtown or Old town. Detailed information (including a map) about your walk's departure point is included in your confirmation email when you book. Our starting and ending points are easily accessible by bus, taxi or on foot. We recommend that you plan your journey to the starting point so that you’re sure to get there at least 10 minutes before the start of the walk for a brief orientation.

Q: WHERE DO WALKS END?
A: All walks end very near the Malecon (boardwalk), where taxis and buses are easily available.

Q: WHAT IF I CANT FIND YOU?
A: Please make sure you have arrived on the correct day and in the correct meeting place.

We will show up 5 – 10 minutes before the walk begins.

Please call 322 100.2253 if you have any questions or concerns.

Q:IS THERE AN AGE LIMIT FOR THE WALK?
A: We welcome guests of all ages.

Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

Q: HOW DO I REGISTER?
A: It’s very easy.

Select the walk for the desired day and time, select the number of tickets you want

and fill in the requested information.

A ticket confirmation with all details will be sent to you via email and you are all set.

Q: CAN I SHOW UP WITHOUT A TICKET?
A: Yes. No problem. However, walks do not run all the time.

Make sure there is a walk or workshop happening.

It is always much better to make a reservation.

Q: CAN I RESCHEDULE?
A: Absolutely.

As a courtesy to others, please reschedule your reservation as far in advance in possible so others may book your spots if needed.

Q:WHAT IF I CAN´T FIND A DATE IN THE CALENDAR?
A: Walks or workshops do not happen every day. Availability depends on the season. There are no activities offered on days which are not listed on the calendar; however, please contact us if you would like to see us on a particular day not shown or if you would like to make it private.

Q: HOW BIG ARE THE GROUPS?
A: Walks and workshop sizes are intentionally small to create a more personal, intimate, enjoyable experience, which is why we recommend to book early.

Usually, between 8 and 12 people.

Q: DO I NEED TO PRINT MY TICKETS?
A: No. It isn’t necessary to bring a paper copy of your tickets with you.

We will have a guest list available.

Q: WHAT IF MY GROUP IS VERY LARGE?
A: We can accommodate larger groups with advance notice.

Please email us at welovevallarta@gmail.com with details.

Q: I DON´T SPEAK SPANISH!
A: No problem. We do it in English. We are all Mexican, but fully bilingual.

Q: WILL THERE BE FOOD OR DRINK DURING THE WALK?
A: Yes. Lots of chances for that.

We usually have a taco or go for a drink during and/or after the walk. However, we recommend you have breakfast before as you will need your energy.

Our food walks are also scheduled for your convenience.

Q: DO YOU OFFER PRIVATE WALKS OR WORKSHOPS?
A: Yes, we do! Just email us at welovevallarta@gmail.com with details.

Q: WHAT SHOULD I BRING WITH ME ON THE WALK?
A: We recommend you wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Bring a hat and sunscreen, and maybe an umbrella if necessary. Bring cash for food and shopping (if any).  We can teach you how and where to exchange your money. We mostly visit local-non touristy establishments that require pesos. You may also want to have a notebook for notes and your camera, or maybe your smartphone for all that.

Q: WILL I GET ANY PRINTED INFO?
A: Yes, you will be given some useful printed materials.

After the walk or workshop, you will also be able to download the details, pics and more.
